Happy 4th of July weekend! 

We have much to celebrate!

Depending on the weather where you live, this would be a great weekend to take walks or enjoy outdoor activities with your family.  We’re planning a watermelon seed spitting contest – very dignified.

I’m going to write another blog this summer about dehydration, but in the meantime, be awarewe slowly lose the sensation of being thirsty as we age. Because of this, older adults don’t realize they’re dehydrated if they’re not thirsty.

It’s even more important to stay hydrated in hot weather.
